The Current Doylestown Restaurant Scene

Want to help support local Doylestown restaurants? This article features a selection of local options around CB West.
Pizza
A popular Pizza place in Doylestown is Nat’s Pizza. They offer many different foods in addition to pizza as well. Giovanni’s on State is another popular option for pizza. The tiny, cozy, atmosphere provides some of the best pizza around. You’re always guaranteed to find people in there! Jules Pizza is a Doylestown classic. They offer tasty fine crust pizza unlike anything else around. Although relatively new, HG Coal Fired Pizza has been a popular spot since its opening last year. To heat up the Neapolitan pizza they use their signature 800-degree coal powered pizza oven! HG just replaced the old Steak and Hoagie Factory on the southern corner of town. Speaking of hoagies, where can you find the best ones around Doylestown?
Hoagies
There are several great places in Doylestown to get a delicious hoagie! One of the best spots, Coach’s Steak & Hoagie House, is taking a brief hiatus to rebrand. According to their new website the “Doylestown favorite is getting a serious new makeover.” The new restaurant, Steaks on State, opens this month where Coach’s once was. Another great location is Lucatelli’s Pizzeria. Although they have pizzeria in the name, doesn’t mean the hoagies are half bad! If neither of those local options works, you can always rely on a good old Wawa or Primo hoagie.
West State Street
Of course, if you’d like the classic Doylestown Restaurant scene, there is no better place to look than the restaurant district on West State Street, right near West. Many of the sit-down restaurants have a variety of great offerings. Starting off west, 86 West features a spacious outdoor area, and an impressive interior. 86 West specializes in sushi and sashimi, but of course offer burgers and common American dishes. Moving on, Paganini Ristorante is the best Italian sit-down in Doylestown. Right across from 86, Paganini’s offers a range of different pastas and pizza offerings. If you are looking for a classic American eatery, there is no better spot than Penn Taproom. Think burgers, sandwiches, fries, etc. Meanwhile, if you are looking for something completely different, Cross Culture serves Indian food on the west side of the district. Cross Culture resides in a cozy wooden building, with great smells all around. My personal favorite is the Chicken Tikka, if you’re looking for a recommendation.
With so many different cuisines, Doylestown offers a robust variety of food whether you are grabbing a quick slice at Giovanni’s, or sitting down with family at Paganini’s, one thing is for sure: Doylestown doesn’t offer an empty stomach.
