A new Student Resource Officer has arrived at West! To learn more about who she is and what she does, we conducted an interview and asked her a few questions.
Q: What’s your name and how old are you?
A: Officer Greco, 26 years old
Q: Where did you grow up?
A: Abington, Pennsylvania
Q: How long have you been in law enforcement?
A: About 3 and a half years
Q: What kind of education/training did you go through to become a police officer?
A: I went to high school and got my GED, attended York College in Pennsylvania for 2 years, I went to Delaware Valley police academy for 6 months, and got my state certification.
Q: What is your favorite part about being a police officer?
A: Building trust in the community and caring for students.
Q: Do you like working at West? Why or why not?
A: Yes! I like being able to build connections with students and definitely like working here more than outside of school.
Q: What are some of your hobbies outside of work?
A: I like spending time with my family, going to the beach, and playing sports.
Q: What was your favorite part about school when you were our age?
A: I liked being involved in sports and being excited for all of my lacrosse games. I played lacrosse throughout my entire high school career.
Q: What advice would you give to any students here that want to enter a career in law enforcement?
A: You have to be dedicated and driven. You should be a motivated person and have a good head on your shoulders.
Q: Is there anything else you’d like to share with us about yourself or what you do?
A: I’m excited to be the school resource officer, and I love interacting with students every day. I enjoy making a positive impact and being a positive role model!
