CB West’s 3rd annual Trunk-or-Treat is coming up on Monday, October 27th from 6-8. It will be hosted in the Senior lot, and students can decorate their cars for children to visit and get candy. The Trunk-or-Treat last year was quite successful, and we hope to get as many students as possible to participate.
Costumes are a must for Halloween. Whether it’s a party you’re attending, or just trick or treating, dressing up is a fundamental part of Old Hallows Eve. It hasn’t always been about candy, though. The origin of dressing up comes from the Celtic holiday, Samhain, where it was believed that October 31st was the day where the veil of the living and dead was thinnest. People would dress up to scare off spirits and ward off evil, and as time went on, Halloween became more lighthearted and fun.
